Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko is slowly carving a niche for himself as one of the most entertaining politicians in Kenya. Over the weekend, netizens poked fun at the county boss on how he cannot be trusted with secrets.

It has now emerged that he is someone you probably shouldn’t pick a fight with.

The governor received backlash from a section of netizens on Friday for publicly expsoing that the late Kibra MP Ken Okoth sired a son with a woman identified as Anne Thumbi.

One politician who expressed displeasure at Sonko’s move was Suba legislator Millie Odhiambo Mabona who condemned him for constantly demeaning women.

Sonko refused to take Millie’s accusation lying down, going all out to clap back.

In a Facebook post, Sonko said, “I am longing for the day you shall open wide your legs to give birth to a child so that you experience the pain that the mothers I am defending go through”.

He also accused Millie of being ignorant of the plight of single mothers, insisting that he only seeks to defend women who are abandoned by men who father the kids.

In a sharp rebuttal, Millie also took to her Facebook post to engage Sonko in a battle that has left netizens confused.

“If you’re a coward, go to the blue tent. I have dedicated two days to deal with the bully. Amezoea wamama sana,” read Odhiambo’s status.

Replying to Sonko’s attack on her childlessness, she wrote “I hear Sonko has attacked me for being childless. I am proudly childless just like several other women and men. Let us all be proud of our various God-given creations including commas and fullstops.”

Mike Sonko was however at the receiving end of backlash from a section of netizens who felt his mockery of the legislator’s situation went below the belt.

The war of words between these two notable leaders has left internet users waiting with bated breath as on the end result.
