Cremation is not African, Miguna criticises Ken Okoth’s interment

Lawyer Miguna Miguna has criticised the procedure in which the late Kibra MP Ken Okoth’s body was disposed of saying it was not African.

“A people who do not respect their culture and history are lost. Cremation is not African,” the former adviser of Raila Odinga said.

In addition, Miguna discredited the fact that Okoth had a will as there were no witnesses or any lawyers involved.

The late Okoth’s burial was characterized by division of where and how he would be buried.

Finally, he was cremated at Kariorkor in Nairobi in the absence of crucial family members such as the deceased mother, Angelina Okoth. The latter was strongly against Okoth’s cremation.
