Residents of Kakamega on Wednesday were subjected to a strange scene after coffin traders took to demonstrate against sabotage of their business.
According to the traders, the morgue attendants at Kakamega County Referral Hospital have been telling bereaved families not to buy coffins in Kakamega town.
The casket sellers said the morgue attendants have a beneficial relationship with coffin traders from other town, which is why they ask people not to buy from them.
Kakamega casket sellers went around town wailing while carrying coffins on their shoulders as they warned the morgue attendants of their alleged collusion with other traders.
Others rode on bodabodas while shouting their disappointment with the actions of the morgue attendants.
