Kenya Power says power supply restored in “most areas”

Kenya Power on Saturday, May 9 announced that there is a power outage in most parts of the country.

The company has now come out to say that it has managed to restore power supply in most areas, except for Malindi and Lamu towns.

According to Kenya Power, the loss of power supply in the country was caused by a system disturbance, which occurred on their transmission network at 5:49 am on Saturday.

Kenya Power maintains that engineers are still working on ensuring that power supply has been restored in the two Coastal cities as soon as possible.

Ugandans also suffered nationwide blackout, Uganda Electricity Transmission Co. Ltd said on its Twitter account.
