Kenya reports 80 new COVID-19 cases as total rises to 1,109

Kenya has registered a new record on her new daily coronavirus cases.

According to Health CS Mutahi Kagwe, 80 people tested positive for COVID-19 out of the 3,102 tested samples in the last 24 hours.

The new cases brings the total confirmed cases in the country to 1,109.

The new cases are distributed as follows; Nairobi has 41 cases, Mombasa has 20 cases while Siaya has seven cases.

Over the same period, nine patients have fully recovered and discharged from hospital, raising the number of recoveries in the country to 375.

While disclosing that the youngest case today was a six-month-old, CS Kagwe insisted the war against the COVID-19 pandemic cannot be won by the government alone but by all individuals following rules.
