The DCI has warned the public against spreading fake information about others, that they will face the full wrath of the law.
“The DCI wishes to inform, urge and warn any person who, out of malice or sheer morbid hatred for another person, to desist from committing any act or attempt against the law as provided under the Communication Act.
“For those who may be used to in the commission of these crimes, the law will be applied to you as well as your principal offenders who aid, abet or counsel you to commit the offense,” said the DCI.
On Friday, CS Matiangí dismissed as fake news the reports that he had been hospitalised with COVID-19.
