This year’s Mount Kenya University graduation ceremony will be held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the Thika-based institution, the 18th Graduation Ceremony will be held virtually on Friday, the 9th of October, 2020.
“All students aspiring to graduate are requested to ensure that they meet the requirements for graduation. For enquiries please write to [email protected] or call 0709153000,” said Dr. Donald Maathai who is the Registrar, Academic Administration
Mount Kenya University is among the few universities in the country that have continued to offer online learning and examinations.
Two weeks ago, Mount Kenya University bagged an international award for its efforts in improving the health of children and access to safe water during this COVID-19 pandemic period.
MKU won the Talloires Network Innovative Civic Engagement Award, 2020 after distributing over 10,000 water backpacks that provide access to safe water transport to thousands of people.
In June, CS George Magoha encouraged students to enroll to private universities like Mount Kenya University, which he said “have developed excellent faculties over time, to the extent of competing favourably with top public institutions in the country.”
