The Amani National Congress (ANC) Secretary General Barrack Muluka has resigned from the position.
In statement addressed to party leader Musalia Mudavadi, Muluka cited the many achievements he has helped the party attain during his tenure as the reason for his resignation.
Muluka says that one of the tasks he was supposed to execute was the writing of Mudavadi’s autobiography “Soaring Above the Storms of Passion” which was published and launched in 2019.
The author also believes that he has helped in the reorganisation and strengthening of ANC, by helping it wrestle from difficult spaces and positioning it strategically in Kenya’s political system.
“It is now ready…to compete for for political power against other major political parties. The coming into being of a new party constitution a few days ago, especially, gives ANC a good chance for a fresh start and a new lease of life,” said Muluka in the statement.
He concludes by noting that with all these achievements, “I could not add more value to what I have done so far”.
