The Jubilee Party has summoned all its Nairobi County MCAs to an urgent consultative meeting this afternoon (Thursday, August 13).
The consultative meeting that is being held at the Jubilee Headquarters in Pangani was scheduled to start at 12 noon.
The agenda of the meeting convened by Secretary General Raphael Tuju is to discuss the current developments at the Nairobi County Assembly, especially after the resignation of Speaker Beatrice Elachi.
“In light of the current developments at the Nairobi County Assembly, you are required to attend a consultative meeting of all Jubilee elected and nominated MCAs…without fail. The party whip at the assembly Mr Paul Kados is by copy of this letter requested to whip the members accordingly,” read the leader.
This comes even as the election of a new county assembly speaker is scheduled to take place on Friday, August 14.
This meeting coincides with a disciplinary hearing for MCAs who were summoned on Tuesday following latest chaos at City Hall.
The eight MCAs who are presumed to be Elachi’s allies were summoned over misconduct.
