A section of the Thika Superhighway shall be closed for five days to pave way for construction.
According to the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), Thika Road shall be partially closed at the Garden City Mall to pave way for the erection of steel deck.
The section shall be closed from Friday, August 21 to Tuesday, August 25 between 9 am to 4:30 am.
Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes during this period.
“Traffic heading to Nairobi is advised to use Exit 8 at Kasarani, follow Baba Dogo Rd and join Thika Rd through Outering Road. Thika-bound traffic to use diversion around the site or seek alternative routes behind the Mountain Mall,” says KeNHA.
KeNHA further urges motorists to exercise caution around the work areas and strictly follow the traffic management plan and directions given by traffic marshals during the aforementioned period.
