Kenya has recorded 73 new COVID-19 cases out of the 2,001 samples that were tested in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 41,619.
Of the new cases, 70 of them are Kenyans while three are foreigners. The males account for 46 of today’s cases while 27 are females.
Distribution of the cases by counties is as follows; Nairobi 34, Kilifi 18, Mombasa 11, Busia 4, Taita Taveta 2, Kirinyaga 1, Kiambu 1, Meru 1 and Uasin Gishu 1.
Today, 97 patients have recovered from the virus, 31 of the recoveries were from the Home-Based Care Program while 66 were discharged from various hospitals. The total recoveries now stand at 31,097.
Unfortunately, 11 patients have succumbed to the virus raising the death toll to 777.
