Nine suspects of Nakuru drug trafficking syndicate arrested

Police in Nakuru on Wednesday, November 11 arrested nine notorious cocaine trafficking suspects at Bondeni estate.

The detectives acting on public tip-off managed to seize 150 sachets of the drugs believed to have a street value of Sh75,000.

Confirming the incidence, Nakuru Town East Deputy County Commissioner Eric Wanyonyi said the suspects are part of a network of drug peddlers operating within the region.

According to Wanyonyi, the group is part of the larger organized confirmed gang which has been terrorizing residents in the area.

Wanyonyi said police were also able to nab 1 kilogram of bhang from the suspects.

Police will interrogate the suspects to dig more information that will help them arrest the drug lord.
