Defending champions Gor Mahia bounced back to winning ways after a 3-0 win over struggling Zoo FC in their Betking Premier League match at Kasarani on Wednesday.
K’Ogalo’s win comes barely a week after a shock loss to Vihiga United with the win leapfrogging K’Ogalo to seventh on the log with 12 points, nine less behind log leaders KCB.
Samuel Onyango, Kenneth Muguna, and Sydney Wahongo were on target for the defending champions collecting the three points easily for the Carlos Manuel Vaz Pinto coached side.
With a game in hand, K’Ogalo will be looking to cut off the gap between them and KCB whom they trail by nine points, KCB having played a game more.
On the other hand, Zoo’s hunt for their first win of the season continues after two draws and three losses in five matches for the Herman Iswekha coached side.
In Nakuru, Ulinzi FC continued to pile more pressure on Mathare United after a 2-1 win over the Slum boys in their Betking Premier League match at the Afraha Stadium, Nakuru on Wednesday.
Daniel Waweru and Elvis Nandwa scored for the soldiers before Daniel Otieno scored a late consolation goal for Mathare United but was not enough to secure a point for the struggling Salim Ali coached side.
