Police in Nyatike, Kisumu County, have launched investigations into the death of a 30-year-old fisherman whose decomposing body was found in his house.
The body of Bernard Okoth was found under his bed in a rental house in Yugislavia estate, Sori town in a frightening state.
Okoth’s body was found with stab wounds and multiple lacerations, and was wrapped with clothes.
According to the area assistant chief Barnabas Majiwa, the body of the fisherman was found after neighbours started detecting a strong odour like rotten flesh coming from the house.
“We then went to the house and found the door locked from outside and the police broke the door so that we could access the house,” Majiwa told Ramogi FM.
