Jubilee Party Vice Chairperson on Thursday alleged to an ongoing Jubilee Party plan to impeach Deputy President William Ruto.
Murathe says the plan also entails kicking out all Jubilee MPs campaigning for United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party candidates in the forthcoming by-elections.
“…about the DP, I think the eviction party of the hustler mansion is loading. That one you can take to the bank.
Very soon there will be an eviction party from the hustler mansion in Karen, I can assure you it is loading. However it happens, they are getting out,” Murathe said in an interview with KTN News.
DP Ruto allies have been bullish about the plans of impeachment. Led by Garissa Township MP Aden Duale, the lawmakers say they have the numbers in the bicameral Parliament to scuttle any impeachment attempts on DP Ruto.
Murathe, however, insists that DP Ruto allies are used to empty rhetoric.
“We have enough numbers to impeach DP Ruto. Sometimes these people [DP Ruto allies] all they are talking about is phone numbers and not numbers in Parliament. If they think they have enough people, they should come out boldly and say “no” to BBI referendum,” Murathe said.
The former Gatanga MP says that UDA allies leaders (who are allies of DP Ruto) have been disrespecting President Uhuru Kenyatta, by “prematurely campaigning in Mt Kenya region.” This is despite Uhuru cautioning politicians against early campaigns.
Jubilee has expelled six nominated senators including Isaac Mwaura, Mary Seneta, Falhada Dekow Iman, Naomi Jillo Waqo, Victor Prengei, Millicent Omanga, and Christine Gona.
