Nairobi nominated MCA Mary Njambi, popularly known as Mafirifiri, was the one who informed city politician Karen Nyamu that Mugithi singer Samidoh (Samuel Muchoki) was married.
According to Karen Nyamu, she did not know that Samidoh had a wife and children when they started their love affair some time in 2019.
Nyamu, who unsuccessfully vied for the Nairobi woman representative seat in 2017, said that she met Samido at a political event he was performing in.
Speaking during an interview with radio presenter Felix Odiwuor aka Jalang’o, Nyamu said she did not know the crooner was married, because he was not wearing a ring.
“Can you believe I didn’t know Samido was married because he was not wearing a ring. I came to know Samidoh was married after being his friend “well, as he likes to refer to” for like four months when I’m already in this thing,” said Karen Nyamu.
Reportedly, the MCA was the one who broke the ice to Karen Nyamu.
“Mafirifiri MCA was the one who told me that he was married. I don’t regret anything I have done. The only thing I have a problem with is people thinking I am a home wrecker, that I have done things to compete with Samido’s wife, NO!”
On Tuesday, Samidoh apologised to his family and fans after his romantic relationship Karen Nyamu hit some raw nerves.
“I am sorry!!!,” he said. “I have put my family and myself in a bad situation.”
Samidoh has been in the news since last week when a video emerged of him having a nice time with a baby.
Karen Nyamu has, however, dismissed claims that she posted the video to hurt Samidoh’s family. She says that all this while, Samidoh had told her that the wife was aware of their affair.
“I was not posting videos for Samidoh’s wife, who I was told already knows about the situation. I was posting to claim the identity of my son, and that is something I do not regret. If I had not posted those videos, he could not have claimed his son,” added Nyamu.
Here is what Samidoh said, to claim Karen Nyamu’s son:
“It is true I had a friendship with Ms. Karen Nyamu and its this involvement that led to the birth of an innocent child whom I have and will always support both emotionally and materially,” said Samidoh. “I am a proud father to my children.”
