On Tuesday, the Juventus forward broke another record. Ronaldo, often referred to as CR7 owing to his love for the Number 7 jersey, became the first player to score at least 20 goals in each of the past 12 seasons in Europe’s top five leagues.
The five time Ballon D’Or winner finished a well taken counter attack in the 87th minute to seal Juventus’ 3-0 win against struggling Spezia in a Serie a league clash.
Ronaldo’s goal was his 20th of the 2020-21 season, taking him to the top of the scorer’s chat in the Italian top league.
In the process, the Real Madrid all-time top scorer also broke the record for the fastest player to score 50 goals in Serie A. It took him a paltry 61 games.
Ronaldo has now scored over 50 goals in the Premier League, Italian Serie A and the Spanish La Liga.
In January this year, Cristiano Ronaldo became the all-time top scorer in footballing history with his 760th strike in the Supercoppa Italiana against Napoli.
