Motorists using Nairobi’s Waiyaki Way had their vehicles sprayed with sewage on Wednesday morning, following a pipe burst.
In the incident that occurred in Sodom area near the Kangemi Bridge, motorists had no choice but to drive through the sewage along the busy road.
To make matters worse, there was a slight traffic jam that caused vehicles to move slowly. This meant that motorists had no chance of driving through the sewage at a terrific speed, to limit the ‘damage’.
The sewage oozed with great pressure to cover an incredibly wide diameter.
It appears that road works currently ongoing in that section of the road caused the pipe burst.
KeNHA is currently demolishing the Kangemi Bridge along Waiyaki Way to pave way for a new road design.
