Residents of Buuri village, Meru County, were this morning treated to a beer party after a truck ferrying beer overturned.
Numerous crates of beer were spread all over the ground, with the truck lying upside down in a heap of metal and shattered crates and bottles.
Men and women were seen scavenging the scene for free booze, collecting the bottles using their jerseys, sacks, under arm pits, and yet others drinking on the spot.
Reports indicate that the driver, the only one in the truck, was injured and rushed to hospital.
The truck is said to have digressed at the Subuiga junction, causing it to lose balance and tip over.
