Tanzania President Samia Suluhu has thanked the media, artists, musicians, and members of the Diplomatic community as the country prepares to bury late President John Pombe Magufuli today.
National Leaders, religious and political leaders are also on the list of those who earned plaudits from President Samia. “Today as we lay to rest our beloved President Dr. John Pombe Joseph Magufuli; on behalf of the People of the United Republic of Tanzania and on my own behalf I would like to thank fellow Compatriots; National Leaders, Religious Leaders, Political Leaders, Diplomatic Community, Media Houses, artists, musicians and everyone who has supported comforted and sent us condolence messages during this difficult and trying times for our nation,” she said in a statement released this morning. “May our good Lord grant our beloved late President eternal peace. Amen.”
The late Magufuli will be laid to rest at his rural home in Chato in the northwestern part of the country. His body arrived yesterday and villagers had a chance for final viewing. Magufuli died last week at 61.
