Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations Homicide division have exhumed the body of a 66-year-old man said to have been murdered by his 44-year-old son in Mwiritu, Laikipia County.

The exhumation exercise was conducted under the watchful eye of government pathologist Johansen Oduor after the interrogation and arrest of the main suspect Nderitu Maina.

A post mortem examination on the body of Maina will be conducted on Monday to establish the exact cause of death. His son is presently in police custody awaiting arraignment on Monday.
