The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education(KCSE) who wish to apply for Diploma in Teaching colleges have been given a timeline of between April 6 to April 20, 2021.
Jwan stated that the minimum entry requirement was a mean grade of C and C- for students with disabilities in all cluster subjects.
“Applicants for a Diploma in Primary Teacher Education should have a KCSE mean grade of C (Plain) or its equivalent with a C plain in English, Kiswahili, Mathematics, and also a C in any of the humanities and science subjects,” Jwan said in a notice.
For the Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education, Jwan said that applicants required a mean grade of C as provided by the Kenya National Examinations Council(KNEC).
While stating that the courses’ training would take up three years, Jwan said that the students had an option of applying through the Ministry’s website www.education.go.ke or through various county directors of education.
He warned that double registration would lead to automatic disqualification.
