The principal of ABC Kiseveni Secondary School in Machakos County was on Tuesday morning arrested for posting a KCSE exam paper on her WhatsApp status.
Betta Mutuku reportedly posted Mathematics Paper 2 on Monday evening on her status, a day before the test.
It is alleged that she shared the paper on her WhatsApp status for the candidates to study overnight ahead of the paper.
Machakos DCIO Rhoda Kanyi led detectives to the school where the school head was arrested and her phone confiscated, awaiting further investigations.
Education CS Prof. George Magoha has warned against exam cheating a couple of times.
“We are investigating allegations of irregularities where some examination officers are said to work in cahoots with teachers to try to assist candidates in answering question papers. The truth of the matter will be known soon,” he was quoted saying.
