Police in Suna East, Migori County, have launched a manhunt for a 20-year-old man said to have been living with two minors as his wives.
The suspect has allegedly been co-habiting with a 17-year-old and 12-year-old girls at his house in Apida estate, Suna East.
The 17-year-old spent the night behind bars at the Migori Police Station, while the other two are still at large.
Alarming Intel to Police
The village elder Consolate Odongo and a human rights activist Diana Rose confirmed the incident, saying they raised alarm after receiving intel that “the three were living together in the man’s rented house in some sort of ‘marriage’.”
“The suspect first “married” the class six girl, before “marrying” the other one about two months ago, after she allegedly dropped out of Form One,” Odongo revealed.
According to her, the man’s mother was aware of the marriage arrangement.
Rose asserted that the girls’ parents, the man and his mother would face the law.
