Police in Jamaica are investigating a couple that posed with an assault rifle and a shotgun during their wedding.
In the wedding photos, the newly-weds are seen kissing while brandishing an assault rifle and a shotgun during a wedding reception in St James. The couple is also surrounded by men who appears to be in police uniforms and branded vests.
Couple are JCF active members
A Jamaican court has confirmed that the couple is an active serving member of the Jamaican Constabulary Force (JFC). JCF has however launched an internal probe into the matter.
“For now, an internal probe is on, and at the end of it, I am certain that from the evidence that presents itself, a decision will be made within the context of the JCF protocols that govern the conduct of members,” JCF said.
JCF has also said that once the investigations are over, they will determine the type of punishment meted upon the couple.
“As it is right now, the nature of the action is being investigated and it is at the end that the breach will be examined and appropriate action taken,” said JCF.
