Uasin Gishu veteran politician and farmer Jackson Kibor, popularly known as “Mzee Kibor”, was on Monday, May 3 morning batised.
Mzee Kibor, 86, was baptised in a ceremony conducted at Boma Inn Hotel’s swimming pool in Eldoret.
The ceremony was presided over by retired Africa Inland Church (AIC) Bishop Silas Yego, and attended by few family members including Loice Chemeli, Mzee Kibor’s first daughter from his second wife.
Mzee Kibor and men’s conference
The self-proclaimed chairman of the Men’s Conference has been in the limelight for many years for different reasons. If it is not a gun drama with his sons, then it is a divorce case with one of his wives.
Men’s Conference is an imaginary conference that is scheduled between 14 and 16 February. At this conference, which is designed to escape Valentine’s, men will get to talk about all sorts of things that ’empower’ them, often at the behest of their spouse or girlfriend.
But it seems that Mzee Kibor has decided to rid himself of his old ways and embrace a new life- a follower of Christ.
