Gynecologist Dr. Ignatius Kibe has cautioned men who have multiple sexual partners of risk of infertility.
Speaking to TV47’s MorningCafe, Dr. Kibe said that the more times a man ejaculates, the more his sperm count diminishes.
“It takes 72 days on average to manufacture one sperm. This could range between 65 to 75 days. By the 72nd day, one has sufficient sperms to discharge. The sperm count diminishes the more one ejaculates. Sex maniacs risk being infertile,” Dr. Kibe said.
On other causes of infertility, Dr. Kibe noted that the sperm itself is a subject of analysis ignored by most men. Dr. Kibe said that the more times a man ejaculates, the more his sperm count diminishes. Studies reveal that some produce “morphologically wrong sperms” in terms of their count, maturity, shape, tail and energy.
“We also check whether the sperm has sufficient energy. Men who drink a lot, or who are physically unfit lack the energy, which makes them lazy in bed. There are sperms with fast speed, others with medium while others are just lazy sperms. The lazy ones do not move, with most of them being dead. In this country we are getting very many dead sperms per ejaculate, which is infertility,” Dr. Kibe added.
“Others produce abnormal sperms that are blunt-headed, while some are double-headed, meaning that their heads are split into two, and they will not make it,” Dr. Kibe said.
