Collins Toroitich, the grandson of former President Daniel Arap Moi, has been sued by his estranged wife for KSh1 million monthly upkeep.
Collins is the son of the late Jonathan Toroitich, Moi’s eldest son.
Gladys Jeruto Tagi, his ex-wife and Baringo politician, alleges that Collins has absconded parental responsibility over their two children for eight years.
“I am currently unable to provide for the children alone as the needs are so many and would need to be assisted,” she says in her pleadings to court. She says the KSh 1m will cater for entertainment, food, rent, education and maintenance.
Tagi alleged that she had tried reaching out to her ex-husband to no avail. He had allegedly blocked her phone number.
The two tied the knot in 2008 and separated four years later. Their two children are a boy 11, and a girl, nine.
