Journalists in Kakamega County have put a smile on a widow by building her a house.
The widow, identified as Dorina Wanunda, had been living in a house made of papers after the passing on of her husband.
The journalists led by KBC’s Fredrick Mukhamwi had reported the story of the widow who was living a destitute life. They decided to go beyond their call of dutyto build her a decent house.
The scribes, out of a kind heart, formed a WhatsApp group where they contributed money towards the course.
They used the contributed money to buy building materials and all the necessary equipment to make the completion of the house successful.
“I am now so happy they have built me a house. I am really grateful. The house I used to live in was so cold. I now have a house and I say thank you so much,” said an elated Wanunda.
