Several workers have been trapped, others injured after a building they were constructing collapsed in Nyamira County.
The building, which was to house the Nyamira County Assembly offices upon completion, reportedly collapsed on Thursday, May 27 around 6 pm.
Seven people have reportedly being pulled out from the rubble even as rescue mission continues. Several workers are still trapped in the multimillion-shilling building.
Police officers are having a hard time trying to clear residents and traders, who were the first responders after the accident, away from the building to avoid any eventualities.
The rescued workers have been rushed to Nyamira County Referral Hospital for treatment.
