CCTV footage obtained from Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital has revealed details of how Jennifer Michelle, a Grade Two pupil who was found dead, was discharged at the facility’s waiting bay by four occupants in a car.
It is emerging that the vehicle, a KBS 167P Station Wagon, entered the hospital at around 5:30 pm on 19th May. After discharging the minor at the waiting bay, some of the occupants pretended to be seeking to fill admissions forms.
She was dead when brought to Mama Lucy
But 14 minutes later, the four people vanished into thin air. A doctor’s report now says eight-year-old Michelle was already dead when she was brought to the hospital.
An autopsy report conducted on Michelle’s body on Tuesday, May 25 brought back what government pathologist Johansen Oduor says are “inconclusive findings”.
“They could not conclude their findings today and so they have collected some more samples and they say they have taken them to the government laboratory for further analysis,” said Ayub Owino, the father to the deceased.
Police are still working towards unlocking the puzzle where Michelle’s body, a pupil at New View Academy in Kayole, Nairobi, was brought to the hospital yet her parents were not informed.
Jennifer’s mother, Hildah Achieng, says that her child was in high spirits when she went to school on Wednesday, May 19 morning. But that day, she never came back.
Efforts to search for her proved futile, a missing person report was later filed at Kayole Police Station.
After nearly five hours of searching desperately, the parents were informed by police that a body of a girl was at the hospital. Achieng’ proceeded to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital where she positively identified her daughters lifeless body.
