Harambee Stars goalkeeper Patrick Matasi was on Tuesday, June 1 involved in a horrific road accident in Lessos, Uasin Gishu County, on the Kapsabet-Nakuru Road.
The former AFC Leopards shot-stopper reportedly lost control of a car he was driving leading to a tyre burst that caused it to rolled over the road.
Matasi is undergoing treatment at Kapsabet County Referral Hospital where he was rushed to in an ambulance from Lessos clinic.
Matasi complaining of chest pains
His relative, Albert Mulanda, says that Matasi is complaining of chest pains.
“The car lost control and developed a tyre burst then rolled over. Matasi was with his family and two brothers in-law and currently the doctor is running some scans on him because he is complaining of chest pains,” says Mulanda.
Citizen Digital reports that the goalkeeper’s wife and his child, who were also in the car, have suffered multiple injuries.
The footballer and his family were travelling to Nairobi from Kakamega.
