One person was on Sunday, June 6 killed while others injured after a grisly accident along the Southern Bypass.
Eyewitnesses say that the driver of the White Opel Astra of registration number KAP 354R was driving under the influence.
Four passengers survive the accident
Lang’ata OCPD Benjamin Mwanthi, confirming the incident, said that the vehicle lost control along the Ngong-inter-change, hitting an electric pole.
“The vehicle rolled severally before hitting an electric pole killing the driver on the spot,” Mwanthi added.
The police boss further revealed that there were four more passengers onboard, all men, who sustained injuries.
The survivors, aged between 21 and 28 years, were rushed to the Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment.
The deceased was taken to the morgue at the same hospital, awaiting identification.
