Another young and promising life has been cut shot! This time, it is a 19-year-old girl in Mombasa County.
Najma Abdillahi was reported missing since Wednesday, June 9, with her family hoping she would return home safe and sound.
The search was, however, over on Saturday morning, June 12 after her lifeless body was found near Bonje area.
According to human rights defender HAKI Africa, Najma’s body was found bearing torture marks with bruises on the head and abdomen.
The motive of the killing is yet to be established even as police launch investigations.
A postmortem examination is set to be conducted later today (Saturday, June 12) at the Coast General Hospital, to ascertain the cause of death.
Najma passed with flying colours
Najma had passed with flying colours in the recently released 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE).
She scored a B+ and was set to join a Kenyan public university to pursue her dreams.
