Six suspects have been arrested in Kawangware, Nairobi County, in connection with a series of robberies targeting pedestrians and motorists along the Southern Bypass.
Messi Martha Mutioka, Tevin Njuguna, Edward Baraza Shikoba, Lawrence Gitahi Ndirangu, Kenneth Maina Chege and David Lugali Asianja were arrested by detectives from the Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau who employed cyber and forensic analysis.
Police recovered 112 assorted mobile phones suspected to have been stolen. One of the victims identified her phone among the assorted ones.
The suspects are aged between 21 and 32. So far, security agencies have arrested 15 suspects in connection with the robberies.
