The body of Mariam Mbaaze was found but her private parts were missing, raising suspicion that she could be another victim of ritual murder.
Mbaaze, a pupil at Brain Trust Primary School, reportedly went missing from June 25. According to some of the residents of Jagala Matugga village, she was picked up by unknown people.
Girl’s mother had gone to deliver
At the time the minor was being abducted, her mother – Kasiri Miria – had gone to hospital to give birth.
A search for the minor was launched and her lifeless body discovered at a land belonging to area council chairman Patrick Kasambiza on June 29 by residents fetching firewood.
The locals urged the police to speed up investigations into the horrific incident.
