Eldas MCA Ibrahim Abass is dead.
The MCA died on Sunday, July 4 at Wajir Airport while awaiting a medical emergency flight to Nairobi.
Confirming the sad news, a shocked Wajir Governor Ahmed Ali Muktar said that died at the airport just when he was about to be airlifted to Nairobi for specialised treatment.
“Truly this world is transient and our final abode is calling.I am utterly shocked to receive the sad news of the death of the MCA Eldas Ward, Hon. Ibrahim Abass (Loge) a few minutes ago at the Wajir International Airport while on transfer to Amref Medical Evacuation Service to Nairobi.
“The late was very passionate about his work and has on numerous occasions advocated for excellent services for the people of Wajir County.I convey my deepest condolences to the family, friends and the people of Eldas Ward and by extension the people of Wajir County over this sudden and painful loss. May the Almighty Allah grant him Jannatul-Firdaus and forgive his sins. May Allah, Rahmani Rahim, expand his grave and light it with his blessings, Ameen ya Allah!”
President Uhuru mourns death of MCA
President Uhuru Kenyatta has sent a message of condolence to the family, relatives and friends of the deceased MCA.
In his message of comfort and encouragement, the President mourned the Member of County Assembly (MCA) as a progressive politician whose transformative leadership will be dearly missed by residents of Eldas Ward.
“The passing away of Mr Abass is a big blow to the people of Eldas Ward and Wajir County. The late MCA was a robust and progressive grassroots leader whose down to earth approach to leadership enabled him to provide practical solutions to challenges facing his constituents,” the President eulogised.
