Thirdway Alliance bolts out of 2022 presidential race

The Thirdway Alliance Party on Monday, July 19 announced that it will not be fielding a presidential candidate in 2022 General Election.

In a statement sent to newsrooms from Secretary General Fredrick Okango, Thirdway Alliance says it will instead field candidates in all other elective positions countrywide.

This, the party says, is in a bid to foster partnerships with like-minded political parties.

“Thirdway Alliance will be fighting to repair the soul of this nation. Using the spirit of Punguza Mizigo Kenya, we shall be seeking to unite and to heal our country. To turn this crisis into a crucible, from which we will forge a stronger , brighter, and more equitable future.

“We must write the wrongs in our democracy, redress the systematic injustices that have long plagues the our society, throw open the doors of opportunity for all Kenyans, and reinvent our institutions,” reads the statement from the party.

The party is further urging Kenyans to be bolder and ambitious when choosing new and strong leaders with unblemished integrity in next year’s polls.

“It is our deepest conviction that we CANNOT do the same things the same way we do every election cycle, and if we do, then we will be foolish to expect a different result,” continues the statement from Thirdway Alliance Party that fielded a candidate in the 2017 presidential race.
