Two men arrested for allegedly locking up high school girl at lodging, defiling her

Police in Sotik, Bomet County have arrested two men suspected of defiling a 16-year-old girl in a lodging.

According to an eyewitness, Linus Nyakundi,19, and Danface Makori, 22, were seen in the company of the teenager at Sotik Lodging within Tembwo trading centre.

The citizen reported the matter to the area Assistant Chief who ambushed them at the facility.

“To ascertain the information, the assistant chief headed to the said lodging where he found the suspects having locked themselves in a room, and unwilling to open,” DCI says.

It took the intervention of Sotik-based police officers to have the suspects surrender. The girl was taken for a medical checkup.

Father threatens daughter after defiling her

In yet another case of child sexual abuse, a 50-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly defiling his 10-year-old daughter at their home in Kilungu, Makueni County.

The suspect, John Muema Ndilu took advantage of her daughter while the mother was away fetching water.

He allegedly threatened to kill her if she reported the incident, although the girl opened up to her mother on Tuesday and together they filed a report at Kola Police Station.

Ndilu is currently in police custody while the Grade Three was taken for a medical examination.
