Police in Nyeri County are investigating the death of a 75-year-old German national, who was found dead at his home.
DCI says the body of Weise Klaus Armin was found hanging from the door frame of the master bedroom, hours after a fight with his wife Rosemary Wangui, 38.
According to a report filed at Nyeri Central Police Station, Wangui claimed that prior to their argument, she had visited her sick mother in Othaya during the day.
Death at Nyeri Home
“But on returning to their home in Nyeri’s Muhasibu Estate along Gamerock area, she allegedly found her husband breathing fire, accusing her of infidelity,” DCI says.
Armin allegedly threatened to stab her to death with a knife, forcing Wangui to flee. The deceased then locked himself up in their bedroom where he was found dead the following day.
“They broke into the bedroom and found Armin’s lifeless body hanging from a rope,” the investigative agency adds.
A multi-agency team comprised of homicide officers, Crime Research & Intelligence Bureau and Scene of crime detectives have launched investigations to establish events that led to the foreigner’s death.
Meanwhile, they have contacted the deceased’s family, who are expected to be present at a postmortem on Armin’s body.
