A couple from Kerala State in south west India were forced to float to their wedding venue in a cooking pot after floods made roads impassable.

The two, who are said to be healthcare workers, maintained that they were determined to tie the knot despite the circumstances.

The couple joked that they could have hired the pot instead of cars for their weeding. PHOTO/COURTESY

They found their marriage ceremony venue partially flooded, forcing them to downsize their ceremony to only a small one and faster one.

Floods and landslides which have rocked the state for almost a week have left more than 28 people dead, and hundreds homeless.
