- Bishop Peter Machiuka arrived in the town on Saturday, November 6. He is trekking all the way to Nairobi to deliver a prophecy to DP Ruto.
- “I will camp at Ruto’s residence or office until I can deliver the special message,” Bishop Machiuka says.
A Meru-based bishop has embarked on a treacherous journey to Nairobi to deliver, what he says is, an important message from God to Deputy President William Ruto.
Bishop Peter Machiuka of the Harvest Christian Church in Igembe North started the 296-kilometre journey on Thursday, November 4.
Covering the journey by foot, the bishop passed Embu town on Saturday, November 6. The man of God is praying along the way, hoping to successfully arrive at his destination – DP Ruto’s office in the capital.
Bishop Machiuka’s Divine ‘Instructions‘
According to Machiuka, God spoke to him and told him to carry out the journey all the while praying for peaceful elections in 2022.
“God has sent me to have a prayer walk from Kamweline village in Kabachi, Igembe North in Meru County,” he says.
Upon arrival in Nairobi, Bishop Machiuka says, he will nudge through the gates of the Karen residence of DP Ruto and seek audience with him. He is determined that not even the heavily armed security detail will deter him.
“I will camp at Ruto’s residence or office until I can deliver the special message.”
But the 63-year-old says that his is a tough journey physically, but he has no choice but to fulfill God’s will. “At my age, I can hardly cover 40 kilometres daily because I easily get tired.”
On the long walk to the ‘Hustlers Mansion’, he was accompanied by Pastor Julius Mukalia. Having started off at Kamweline village, the determined duo headed towards Mutuati, then Laare, Kangeta, Meru town, Chuka, Embu, Mwea, Kenol, Thika and eventually Karen in Nairobi.
