The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Tuesday announced a KSh10 million reward for information to help arrest wanted terrorists.
In the latest effort towards fighting terrorism in the country and the East African region, DCI wants Kenyans to volunteer information that will lead to the arrest of Salim Rashid Mohamed aka Chotara aka Turki, Trevor Ndwiga aka Idriss Jamal, Muhammad Abubakar alias Minshawary, Elgiva Bwire, and Barigi Abdikadir Haila.
“WANTED TERRORISTS!! A reward of Sh10 Million will be offered to anyone who volunteers information leading to the arrest of any of the following terror suspects. Dial 0800 722 203 to report anonymously,” says the investigative agency.
Salim, who hails from Mombasa County, was out on bond over terrorism charges and is suspected to have joined Daesh/Islamic State terror group in Mozambique.
He was previously linked to various criminal activities in Mombasa and parts of the South Coast.
Salim is reported to be planning to sneak back into the country to carry out attacks.
