Marcus Lamb, world famous pastor who rallied against Covid-19 vaccines dies of Covid-19

Marcus Lamb, the co-founder of the Christian TV network Daystar, and who railed against Covid-19 vaccines, has died of Covid-19. He was 64 years old.

Lamb was the CEO of the conservative Christian network that reaches an estimated 2 billion viewers worldwide.

“It’s with a heavy heart we announce that Marcus Lamb, president and founder of Daystar Television Network, went home to be with the Lord this morning,” the network announced in a tweet on Tuesday. “The family asks that their privacy be respected as they grieve this difficult loss. Please continue to lift them up in prayer.”

Baseless Conspiracy

“Under his leadership, Daystar aired repeated baseless anti-vaccine conspiracy theories and claims that vaccines were being used to take freedoms away from Christians,” writes the Guardian newspaper.

Science has affirmed that Covid vaccines are safe and effective at preventing severe illness from coronavirus. Unsurprisingly, Lamb is not the first fundamentalist Christian to die of the virus after dismissing its seriousness and ignoring modern science and protocols.

Last April, six members of a church in Florida, USA, died of Covid within 10 days. They had reportedly refused to take the vaccine. In September, pastor Bob Enyart of the Denver Bible Church, also in the U.S, died of the virus after months of denouncing it in his sermons.

Disaster Strikes Home

Closer home, Catholic Priest Father Stephen Karanja died of Covid-19 while receiving treatment at Mater Hospital. The chair of the Kenya Catholic Doctors Association had earlier issued a controversial statement urging Kenyans not to be vaccinated against the disease.

“It seems there is something Bill Gates has invested in that requires the whole world to be vaccinated. What that investment is remains the million-dollar question,”Dr Karanja had said.

Daystar was founded in 1998 and has more than 100 TV stations around the world.
