Landlord from hell: Naivasha family counting losses, to spend night in cold over rent dispute

A family in Kayole estate in Naivasha sub-County is counting losses after the landlord descended on their house over rent arrears.

The landlord ripped off the roof of the house, destroyed the doors and some property in the Sunday morning incident.

The family laments of continued harassment from the landlord who is also a high school principal in Nakuru County.

According to the tenant, he received a notice to vacate the house in November but after a sitting at the area chief’s office, it was agreed he will settle the deposit and stay for two months, period that expires end December. The monthly house rent is KSh6,000.
