Police in Bungoma town have arrested 16 people who were found drinking alcohol inside a locked pub. The merrymakers were picked at OutLaws Club within Bungoma town. An 18-year-old first-year student at a Kitui-based university was on Wednesday night, July 28 rescued from two men who had taken her hostage and allegedly raped her in turns. Biron Orwa, 25, and Samuel Mulama, 22, were reportedly caught by police officers in the act at Diani Apartments in Kitui’s Kwa Vonza market. Suspected killer cop Caroline Kangogo was on Thursday, July 29 laid to rest at Nyawa Village in Elgeyo Marakwet County. A couple has perished under unclear circumstances in an inferno at Itumbe trading centre, Sameta sub -County, Kisii. Florence Mogoa and Mogoa Moruri were trapped by the fierce fire in their locked house hindering emergency rescue from good Samaritans. A court in Kirinyaga County has sentenced four men to death for robbery with violence. Isaak Kariuki, Ndambiri, Kennedy Gachoki Kanguru, James Gitonga Wawira and Christopher Bundi Mbogo killed two people and maimed two others in the July 1, 2018 robbery at Ndindiruku village, Mwea East sub-County. Two people have died and one critically injured after a grisly road accident involving a lorry along Machakos-Kikima Road. Police in Nakuru have arrested two suspects in connection with a series of car thefts within the region. John Kimani, 27, and Samuel Kamau, 35, are said to be operating within the town’s CBD targeting parked vehicles.
