A Catholic priest has been acquitted of harassment charges against his lover and daughter by a Kitui court. Kitui Law Courts Chief Magistrate Stephen Mbungi ruled that the prosecution lacked enough evidence to convince the court to convict Father Japheth Kimanzi. Police officers in Nanyuki, Laikipia County, are investigating a senior military officer accused of defiling his 10-year-old daughter at their Nanyuki Barracks residence. According to police reports, the officer, Raphael Munayo, reportedly took advantage of his Class Four daughter, while they were alone in the house.
